I had been unable to buy a couple of plants that have been on my list for a while now, at a reasonable price. On a whim I was doing my periodical search for some of these plants (Edgeworthia and Hakonechloa) on the big plant websites and happened to come across big plant nursery. No only did they have these two plants in stock, they were more reasonably priced then said websites or my local gardening centers (which are usually cheaper all around)!! Courier price is a bit of a killer, but is to be expected. Plus I was buying enough of the forest grass to make it worth while. Every thing was delivered next day and well packaged. The Edgeworthia was spectacular, nicely pruned and in Aston. Not much to say about the forest grass as it is dormant, but I’m sure it’ll be equally good. Can’t rate this company enough. I’ve been stung big time by a couple of the other online nurseries, but this one exceeded my expectation. If I’m in Ashington in the future, I will absolutely have to swing by. Thanks guys!

Bought 8 Vivax Bamboo in Feb 2023 and they have flourished beautifully. Great price and delivery costs were brilliant. Will defintley use again.

Very Disapointing experience at the garden centre, as they do not allow dogs. They advised it was because a staff member got bitten. Such a shame another establisment are penalising ALL dogs! Will not be returning!

Ordered a colocasia pink China that arrived damaged. Phoned Big Plant Nursery, spoke to Carl. Result, new plant arrived next day. Excellent customer care will most definitely buy from them again. Thank you Big plant nursery.

Fantastic place amazing range of plants jungle tea house is well worth a visit before you roam about with so much choice helpful and friendly staff definitely worth a visit i will be back

Awful experience today, embarrassing, demeaning and very disappointing. We’d been a few times to Big Plant Nursery, they do have some lovely plants, and we’ve spent quite a lot of money there. However the service was awful and staff very rude today - they’d very recently changed their policy to no dogs in the last few days so we weren’t aware and bought our very well behaved small dog with us - were told that we’d have to stand in car park with her, no transition period or understanding and really quite rude delivery having travelled over an hour to visit. Staff had been helpful and friendly when we previously visited but cafe was extremely slow today and not especially busy, 30 mins for a coffee and another 45 for scrambled eggs on toast - and very unhelpful when looking for plants. Wish we’d chosen to meet our parents somewhere else for father’s day morning, very frustrating.

Thank you so much for these beautiful plants. I ordered a hardy banana tree and a Fatsia Japonica ‘Spiders web’. I chose these plants from the Big Plant Nursery for my son’s birthday, because they had a very high star rating and I wasn’t wrong, they are an excellent choice of nursery. The plants are superb and much bigger than I expected. Thank you, Big Plant Nursery for making my son’s birthday very special and a special thank you to Archie, who went above and beyond. I shall definitely use this plant nursery again, especially for their quality of plants.

Great range of plants even though they were reducing stock ready for winter. Bought a few plants I'd not seen anywhere else. Will be going back in spring to see what other interesting plants they get in for the new season.

Excellent plant nursery at reasonable prices, specialising in mature plants that are non-UK natives, like palms, aloe Vera, eucalyptus, bamboo and cactus, but also a decent amount of more native species like Bay Laurel Trees/ shrubs, Silver Birches etc. Plenty of climbers, shrubs, grasses etc. also has a cafe and some indoor plants. Outside are landscaping materials, gravels, fertilizer etc. Trollies available to help move large items.

Great place. Loads of variety and sizes. Helpful staff. Nice cafe also. Purchased a palm and will return for more plants and trees. Highly recommend.
